As I think about Adele + Ryan’s wedding, I’m looking at their photos, enjoying the day again that we had the absolute pleasure of being a part of and the one word that keeps flooding my mind is pure ‘HAPPINESS’. Seriously. I don’t know if we have even 1 image that’s not consumed with joy. Dear Adele COULD NOT stop smiling & we absolutely adore her. In the bridal suite, the music was pumping (well as much as music can PUMP through travel speakers), laughter, endless smiles and just a hint of nervousness in the air. Everything a wedding morning should be… perfection.
In the groom’s suite, I must say firstly, how funny it is, no matter how many times I leave the bridal room with the gals getting ready and enter the man zone I always laugh at how polar opposite the two locals are. The energy and anticipation surrounding the bride to be and her girls is palpable. The energy in the guys section can definitely be a crazed atmosphere but always there’s the mantra of “be at such and such place at this time” repeated over and over again and calculated through to the last possible minute to get ready. The men on this day however were pretty subdued, maybe it was quiet nerves, but again walking from the frenetic buzz of the ladies to the guys each looking at their phones while the groom is sitting in the corner pounding a cheeseburger was quite amusing. (Diego from Cores Films was doing his thing when I got there, don’t know if he caught the cheeseburger eating or not, ;) but stay tuned for what’s sure to be an awesome wedding film!) The celebratory pre wedding cork popping of a champagne bottle seemed to kick start the group almost like a bell at the start of a boxing match – it indeed was “show time”.
The venue then changed to the brilliance of the Jellyfish to see what the beautiful Mayte put together for this amazing couple & of course, it was breathtaking. The blush and gold theme flowed beautifully in contrast with the whites and blues of sea and sand in the background. So so perfect… <3
Right before the ceremony I’m pretty sure I passed out with cuteness when I first met the entourage of toddlers celebrating the day with them. MY GOSH, their own little boy… happy as a clam as long as he got to get his groove on. SO freakin’ CUTE! But then, seeing Ryan dab his eyes as he fought the tears on seeing Adele walk towards him for the first time – beautiful! The ceremony was gorgeous, as it always is under Pastor Rick York’s care. The combining of sands in a keepsake bottle was especially sweet with their son assisting in pouring his sand along with them. & Just like that ‘husband and wife’ threw their hands in the air and they were one.
Then, the sooooooo so so so awesome recessional.. best ever. I swear. They came dancing down the aisle.. no lie… dancing.. too, wait for it….. Pharrell’s ‘HAPPY’. As if there could be another song choice for this couple.. come on! ;) I DIE.
With that, we say ciao! This was our last wedding this season at the Jellyfish & as I write these words, my heart clenches just a bit in knowing that we won’t be back until November this year. :( But I can honestly say, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day with a more perfect family to celebrate it all with. We love you to bits. XOXO r+m
“clap along if you know what happiness is to you… because I’m happy!!”
