This wedding holds such a special place in our hearts.. for so many reasons. Erin + Tim first and foremost are the sweetest, kindest, most loving ‘strangers’ on the planet. Having had just a few conversations prior to meeting them in person at Huracan a few days before the wedding. We met.. we fell in love.. we were friends. Instantly. =) So it’s easy to say that our time with them on their wedding day was nothing short of amazing. I would do it again and again and is an absolute example of just how much we adore what we do. To be this much in love with the emotion, the people.. the story, time after time.. we’ve gotta be doing the right thing with our lives!
Enjoy this one loves. XO ~ r+m
A few words from the bride about their gorgeous wedding day…
Tim and I dated for 5 years before we got engaged, and knew we wanted to be together forever, but hadn’t really talked about a wedding. From the moment we decided to take the plunge we loved the idea of a destination wedding. We did lot’s of research and finally settled on Punta Cana, specifically Huracan Café as our venue.
Planning was a breeze (mostly) from day one. With so many resources online, and being fortunate enough to hire some truly amazing vendors, the year we spent planning was really enjoyable for me.
When all was said and done, we arrived in Punta Cana (Now Larimar) three days before our wedding with 65 guests. From day one it was INCREDIBLE, and I knew we made the right choice.
Our wedding was absolute perfection and every beautiful detail took my breath away. Mayte and Nati are the most talented and passionate wedding planners on the face of earth, and I am grateful beyond words that they put so much love into my wedding. Deciding to have my wedding at Huracan Café is something I will always be glad I did. It was the perfect venue for us in every way. Rustic and beautiful.
Tim and I are so lucky to have so many wonderful and unique people in our lives, and everyone that we cherish was at our wedding with all of their love and support for us. It was really special to have his two sisters and my brother play our live ceremony music, to have my best friend design and create my wedding jewelry, to have my brother design and carve Tim’s cuff links and tie clips, to have both his brothers participate in the ceremony, his older being our officiant, and his younger reading a passage from “The Prophet”, and to have his best friend step in and completely make our reception the heart warming and hilarious event it was with his MC skills.
Last but not least, Mel and Rob were the icing on the cake, or maybe the whole cake itself. Working with them was so easy, natural, and rewarding. From their sweet spirits to their badass command of the camera, they are the dream team of photographers.
The memory of our wedding day is something I’ll remember and hold close to my heart for as long as I live.
